My Marriage!

This week on the 2nd of February I celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary with my closest, most precious friend, the wife of my youth, Buffy.

The Bible teaches that marriage is honorable and should be placed above all things in our lives. God teaches over and over that we should consider our vows with much heaviness of heart as we should not enter into them lightly, but with much humility and meekness as it is the representation of our relationship with God.

Proverbs 31:10-12 (KJV) Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

I have found this passage to be so true in my life as my dear wife has caused me to trust so in her and has brought me much joy throughout the years.

My sweetheart is truly a virtuous woman and has done me great good: she has given me four beautiful children beginning with a son to carry on my family name, then three beautiful daughters who will carry on our dreams as they mature into adulthood and eventually motherhood. My wife has given me support when others forsook me, or even mocked me. My wife has stood on the frontlines with me even in times that she didn't totally agree, but nonetheless she was there willing and ready to do battle with whatever would come against us.

I am praising our Holy God first for this wonderful gift that He has brought into my life as I know that I never deserved such a fine woman as Buffy Harness. I just want this blog to be one of thanksgiving to God and to my precious sweetheart of 19 years, the wife of my youth, the mother of my children, and a wonderful partner in ministry to the Saints in Morgantown, IN.

With all of my heart and love, I salute my wife in respect and honor for her faithfulness to God, me and her family!
