Yah's Promises to Abraham - 4

I am continuing our look at the seven promises to Abraham about his progeny. In the first article in this series I listed out all seven promises as listed in the book "The Fall and Redemption of Adam's Race" written by Lawrence Blanchard. I have already shown that the seventh, the land promise, was fulfilled and that it is mute after that point (Joshua 21:43-45). As for the other six promises, we can see these fulfilled in the characteristics of the descended peoples known as Christian Israelites.

3. Abraham's descendants would become a vast multitude of people.

And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered. – Genesis 13:16

Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the seashore ... – Genesis 22:17

Again, this promise (characteristic) of Abraham would be fulfilled through his progeny; Isaac and ultimately Jacob. To argue this would mean that one would have to establish that the intent of the writing, as it was given under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, was not of natural, physical descendants, but, rather of a collective gathering of ethnic peoples throughout the planet to fulfill the promise.

Let's analyze the above statement in light of the two confirming passages listed with this promise. The definition of "descendants" in Genesis 13:16 is the same as the word "seed" in Genesis 22:17. The Hebrew word is ??????--zera--zeh'-rah--from H2232 (zara – [a primitive root; to sow; figurative to disseminate, plant, fructify]); seed; figurative fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity --Strong's Greek & Hebrew Dictionary – [bracket inserted by JDH]

Now let's look at the English words used for the Hebrew word zera from the NASB Greek-Hebrew Dictionary:

List of English Words and Number of Times Used carnally* (1), child (1), children (3), descendant (3), descendants (105), descent (1), family (6), fertile (1), grain (3), intercourse* (2), line (1), nation (1), offspring (38), offspring's offspring (1), origin (1), posterity (1), race (1), seed (48), seedtime (1), seminal (4), seminal* (1), son* (1), time (1), what you sow (1).

So, out of 227 times, 25 different words that the NASB Dictionary offers for English translations of zera, 220 times, 21words lend their meaning to reproduction genetically, that is 84% of the words translated and 97% of the time. I believe that this is beyond coincidence, but rather it clearly shows the will of God in Abraham's life and those that will be known as the children of faith.

By the way, the other 5 words and 7 times the translation consist of planting have to do with farming. Interesting that the Christ compared those of faith with the different types of soil, gardening, etc...

I believe that when one looks to the characteristics given to us through the Word of God, one can easily identify who the descendants (seed) of Abraham are and that they are a multitude of people today.

Even at Pentecost the Jews were present speaking in their own dialects and we watch as Paul carries the Gospel (Yeshua Christ's message of redemption to the "lost sheep of the house of Israel") to the Diaspora, even reaching the tribes that had been removed so that they might be regathered at the place at which they were "not a people"; the Valley of Jezreel also known as Meggido (Armageddon). Now are we the sons of God! We are a great multitude of people to show the Glory of our God, Yahweh, in obedience to His perfect Law.
