Healthcare, you've got it!

I am so happy now that I have government healthcare at the cost of everyone else; I mean, isn't that the "communal Christian way"?

This attitude that is pervading our world, here in America, that everyone is owed something is a pile of pride mouth deep, and it is beginning to taste horrible! Where can you "Christian's" find in the Scriptures that you are OWED anything?

I am so sick and tired of the 'welfare' mentality that I find in almost every person that I speak with.

I mean, it is like everyone thinks they are owed a retirement, a house, a car (in most cases two or three brand new ones), name brand clothing, food, any technological trinket that their minds can come up with, and the list goes on.

Well, I remember a day when people went to work with the attitude of laboring until their final breath as they wanted to be an active participant in society and they didn't expect the neighbor to foot the bill for their luxurious lifestyles. I remember a day when people drove cars that were older than 10 years and were being worked on every weekend to be able to labor another week. I remember a day when people would wait to purchase something that they wanted with capital in hand and not on plastic piled full of interest. I remember a day when one could go to the doctor for a reasonable fee and expect a reasonable diagnosis that didn't include 3 or 4 specialists along with a list of over priced pharmaceuticals.

Will someone tell this dumb preacher what was wrong with that?

Well, it doesn't matter anymore, now you have it: healthcare by the government for the people. How much longer until the government just goes ahead with a nation wide food stamp allotment, mandatory government housing, one vehicle per family unit and a bus/train pass for all others.

You think this is far fetched? Check out some former Communist nations; check out some current ones while you're at it and you will see that this is not far fetched, but within grasp.

We are one day closer to this form of government and all I can say is: Healthcare, you've got it!
